Can anyone tell me what the cheapest route is from Korea? I have 2 months to go everywhere, and don't mind flying maybe once instead of taking a really long boat/bus ride. I was thinking of doing Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, then Thailand in that order, but ppl have told me that is inconvenient because of boarders and the travel time takes too long.
Thanks for your help!!! |

The *cheapest* way would be:
Weidong Ferry (Incheon to Qingdao) for 110,000 won http://www.weidong.com/
Then Chinese train Qingdao to Beijing (change trains) and then Beijing to Hanoi costing about $200 US for both combined.
All up my guess Incheon to Hanoi would currently be about 300,000 won one way (excluding visa costs, food and accom).
Overland to the other countries would be cheap. Perhaps a few hundred US dollars more, at most. |
