|
|
Okay, I have been through the threads but I'm still somewhat confused.
1) Is my boss required to file my taxes for the months I worked in 2007 or am I supposed to file with the tax office?
2) If he is required to file is he the peerson I am supposed to collect my tax refund from?
3) If i understand correctly all the taxes and forms for 2007 should have been filed by december 31 if however my boss did not submit any taxes to the tax agency for me am I just sol for any refund?
4) for the three months in 2008 I will be working do I file myself? What are the forms Where do I get the forms?
Thank you for any insight! |

For an acurate, full, answer to your q's, go to the "tax refund" sticky. Then to page 3. Where I posted what is sadly the most comprehensive information there is on the subject.
It represents 4 weeks of online/phone and literary research.
In a nut shell:
1. Sadly, he is. {correction] You can file between May 1st and 31st.
2. An honest/law abiding Hokwan owner will have made monthly withholding transfers, and only taken what the govt's due. In which case he'll provide you with a 24-1. Save yourself aggrevation, assume the worst, and go to the posting mentioned above.
3. Jan 31st is the cut off date for him.
4. Forms 24-1 and Form 37. Stamped and signed.

please see "Yep, your hagwon CAN get out of paying pension" thread in job-related discussion forum. It covers this problem.
We SERIOUSLY need to join together and do something about this. If a lot of the BIG hagwon chains are doing this there are hundreds of teachers affected by this that have no clue unless they are actively asking questions. |

Which one; the pension or the taxes?
Lots of posters/workers feel disenfranchised, legitimately, by the BS they hear from others, and the considerable difficulty of getting information.
That irks me, and since I am having a fair share of trouble with the pension/labor/health/tax, and I got no answers on the forum, or it took forever, or was half baked, I am doing my research online, making calls, etc, and then posting it on stickies, directing people to the relevant posting, when they do ask.
If you have any other suggestions on how to get more people in the know, PLEASE, PM me. |
