This is sad. Proves that fans do kill. Be careful out there.

Fan death is real? That about makes as much sense as the Global Warming Debunkers arguments.

Oh wait! I found a logical, scientific explanation! Someone posted it next to the video.
Quote:
Don't EVER operate your fan while you're sleeping. It can create a "soul vortex", which causes your spirit to become lost and wander away from your corporeal being.

All too often, the soul is so lost that it ends up in Hell. At this point, the corpse may spontaneously combust in tiny blue flames.

Another alcohol poisoning death....fan death is just an euphemism for death by misadventure.

This is very strange way of thinking.

There is even a wiki page about this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death

South Korean government position

The Korea Consumer Protection Board (KCPB), a South Korean government-funded public agency, issued a consumer safety alert in 2006 warning that "asphyxiation from electric fans and air conditioners" was among South Korea's five most common seasonal summer accidents or injuries, according to data they collected.[10] Also included among the five hazards were air conditioner explosions, and sanitation issues comprised of food poisoning and opportunistic pathogens harbored in air conditioners. According to the KCPB:

"If bodies are exposed to electric fans or air conditioners for too long, it causes bodies to lose water and [causes] hypothermia. If directly in contact with [air current from] a fan, this could lead to death from [the] increase of carbon dioxide saturation concentration and decrease of oxygen concentration. The risks are higher for the elderly and patients with respiratory problems. From 2003 [to] 2005, a total of 20 cases were reported through the CISS involving asphyxiations caused by leaving electric fans and air conditioners on while sleeping. To prevent asphyxiation, timers should be set, wind direction should be rotated and doors should be left open."

The most tragic part of this story is the dead man's footwear.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET THE DEAD GUY A PROPER PAIR OF SHOES!

I especially like how they zoom in on the fan to make it seem threatening. How do they know it was the fan and not him being smothered to death with a pillow? I seriously have to question their crime scene experts.

Yep, Lee Harvey Oswald took the shot from a Samsung Fan Depository.

OJ's Wife was near a fan when she got shot. Bungling Police forgot to mention this.

Even going as far back as Jesus. If you look very carefully at the Last Supper, Judas puts a Deco Cambria Floor Standing Fan just behind our lord.

Think we can close the case on a lot of dubious deaths in the west.

I do like the graphic at the start. The fan beaning evil death waves into the mouth of the sleeping guy.

A few years back, I stayed at a motel that had a piece of rubber hose hammered into window sill so that the window couldn't be shut. I thought I was going to be eaten alive by the damned mosquitoes.

If Koreans truly believe in fan death, why doesn't a doctor write up a paper on it and submit a paper on it to the New England Journal of Medicine? He/She could be famous. God, I hope this happens. Twisted Evil
