They could...

- notify your employer who'd have cause to sack you.
- fine you.
- deport you.
- warn you.
- settle for a bribe.
- fine any institution that's employing you illegally.

or any combination of the above.

At least there isn't the "all of the above" option in that mess... -_-;;

Anyone have experience with this? What should I do? I haven't been investigated YET, but someone where I'm working part-time at is getting into trouble. If they investigate the employeer and find my name in the paperwork, I'll be in trouble... What to do, what to do?

that's why part time illegal jobs should not follow a paper trail. The employer and you should not even think about signing a contract or exchanging information such as passport or ARC. The other schools should be well aware that they're also engaging in illegal activity so it would also be in their best interests to keep your employment hush.

I feel sorry for you friend, but he kind of dug his own grave. All you can do is wait and keep your mouth shut.

P.S. Yes, an "all of the above" can be found in that list of penalties provided by Yu_Bum_suk.

Good luck man.

I don't feel sorry for either the OP or his friend. Actually, thanks to the fallout from illegal teachers, the rest of us have to jump through ridiculous hoops now. I hope they both get deported.

I treid to do the second job legally, but my original hagwon wouldn't file the paperwork ,so I quit.

Yes, the second job was at a different hagwon.

If you quit the first job, then what's the problem with the second job? Why aren't you doing it legally?

Thanks for the answer.

And i agree that if you break the foreign law and get caught, you deserve everything they throw at you.

I think the school will be smart enough not to let you appear in their paperwork...they wouldn't want to screw themselves over. As for the person currently being investigated...what was said before.
