I postponed my plans re working at a Korean uni when the visa regs changed in December. There are a few points I'm uncertain about.
I am currently in Thailand and plan to apply again for university positions for September. Are there any options other than interviewing at the KE/C in Canada? I think the answer is no. Wondering if anyone has managed to go to Korea from other Asian countries without the home country interview. If I must interview in Canada do I need to have a formal job offer in hand at the time ot the interview?
Re CRC
I understand how to get one but a bit confused about timing. CRCs are valid for 90 days I think. Is this correct? If so, does the crc need to be valid at the time of entry into Korea and at the time a contract starts?
I'm hoping to sign April or May if I can find a position. But this could be more than 90 days before entry date.
I have sealed transcripts, certified copy of degree by KC and other paperwork. Arranged all of these last May though and have read that these might have a limited validity period also. Does anyone know?
I know some ot these are repeat questions but am looking for info that is recent. Can't find the threads that discussed applying to Korea from other Asian countries.
Especially interested to hear from others in a similar situation. |
