There's some flash video at the top of find 815. What's the nature of that video? I want to avoid some spoilers for this season. |

We're back in business, baby!
(spoilers coming...)
-> "I'm one of the Oceanic Six!" - We know Jack, Kate, and Hurley make it back. Now, some have assumed that the funeral Jack went to was Ben's - does he count as one of the Oceanic Six?); assuming he doesn't, who else do you think makes it?
-> Was that Dominic Monaghan as a Desmond look-alike that landed on the island?
-> They've essentially split into two factions now; which group will be the new "Others" or "Hostiles"? (The Island seems to like having groups at odds with each other...) |

That funeral that Jack went to was for a guy named
"Jo..."
Jo-(something).
Those letters were visible in the on the guy's obituary.
"the body of Jo..."
John Locke is probably too obvious. |

Wow almost missed they had a new ep. Forgot it was now february. Clearly people are alive on the island. The 6 got off in a less than honorable fashion. The 6 have some cover story. Hugo says he should have gone with Jack instead of going with Locke. The flash forward was before Jack went loopy? "I was thinking of growing a beard."
Why didn't the chick with the baby pipe up that the helicopter chick lied to her. She told her Charlie was rescued. But Charlie is dead. Her testimony might have helped the group decide something wasn't right.
Why didn't the helicopter chick tell them she got a knife in her back? Did she suddenly feel sorry for them?
People want the island. They don't want anyone else to know about it. They would naturally kill any survivors. Getting off the island and keeping their cover story might be an important part of the deal. Maybe the rest are being kept as hostages to buy their silence? Maybe Locke was killed because he was about to talk?
All in all a strong opening. Much better than the Heroes season 2 opener. Then again, maybe with the strike I'm so starved for new content I have lowered expectations. |

Yes, strong opening, pulling ahead of Heroes easily. |

I think we might also be able to safely assume that Sawyer survives because in the season finale when Kate meets Jack at the airport, she says "He's waiting for me." |

Could be. So, so you think Hurley and Sawyer decide to leave John and go back to Jack and Kate? |

Got to say The Office's season opener was great too. |

Anybody seen episode 2 yet?
Spoilers...
Gotta say, this is the best Lost I've seen in a while (altho the finale for season 3 was great).
I like the idea of having 4 new characters added. The chick's flashback was particularily interesting (finding the polar bear and collar in the desert).
I wonder what's going to happen with the helicopter, and wheter the "Oceanic 6" will get off the island early in the season or if they'll leave that for the finale. Seems unlikely that they'll use the chopper to get off soon as we know Hurley, and quite possible Sawyer, are amongst the 6 that get off....
Anybody else watch yet? |

Yeah I really enjoyed that episode. Some thoughts: (spoilers)
- Hurley knowing where Jacob's cabin is and the significant look Locke gave him because of it. I think this is going to be very important in future episodes.
- The black man who gave directives to Naomi is the same from Hurley's mental institute in Ep. 1 where he asks "Are they dead?" From this, can we assume the 4 newbies don't make it off the island?
- The photo they have of Ben seems to be from some sort of group setting although he's grown up on the island. What was important enough for him to leave?
- When the English chick discovered the collar, she seemed to recognize the symbol, and in their metal case that was discarded from the chopper, there were gas masks. This seems to suggest a connection to the original Dharma initiative (Ben and the Others gassed the original members).
That's all I can remember that particularly stood out as important. I hate having to wait a whole week for another one. |

Yeah, waiting 8 1/2 months for this new season to start doesn't seem so bad now...
I think that those who get off The Island will do so either this season or next, and the remainder of the series will deal (partly) with them trying to readjust to life in The World and/or trying to get back. |
