I miss my Mongolian friend, Nina. She used to work at Polly's Kettle in Itaewon. She finally went back home to her family about 3 years ago, some time after leaving Pollys and working 6 days a week in a factory near Incheon.
I first met Nina on my 2nd day in Korea. She was the first non-Korean foreign friend I made here. She was very short, a bit rough at times, and very feisty. She dated quite a few different guys before eventually living with a guy from Italy for close to a year. I used to listen to her talk to her family and friends on her cellphone. It was fun -- Mongolian sounds exactly like Klingon!
Once she had an American boyfriend who wanted her to come visit him in the states. The guy was clueless, and told her it would be easy for her to get a visa to come see him. I told her different, so she asked me to go with the embassy with her to learn the truth. It was as I said -- impossible.
Her real name was Ink-ji-meg. Few knew that she was a mom, had never actually divorced from her first husband, and had a baby back home.
We kept in touch by e-mail for about 6 months after she left. I lost my Yahoo e-mail account due to inactivity, and she apparently lost hers. I will probably never hear from her again, which is very sad.
I'm certain several of you Korean old-timers who used to drink at Pollys would remember her. |

I'm in love with Mongolian girls !
In China I had a girlfriend for three months. Met her family and lived with them in Hohot for a week. Best food in China.
I'm definelty going to marry one. Fiesty, independant, hela-cute and sexy as any woman on the planet. I need them.
Yep. |

Koreans are rather surprised how ugly most Americans are when they first go to America. They only see handsome/beautiful Americans on TV.
I would think if you went to Mongolia, you'd find some not stunners in proportion.
Mongolian women here are probably from better families back at home. Better looking people tend to do better financially.
And then you are in Korea, ostensibly, because you find Korean women attractive. I would guess that Mongolian women have many of the features, in spades, that western men find attractive, notably the high cheekbones.

I don't think this sounds like Klingon. Must be a different dialect. |

Going to Mongolia is like stepping into a time machine. Ulaan Bataar is like a city in the 1960's!!! No tall buildings, old beat up cars, everything has that "dust covered" look to it. Great place to visit, but I would not live there. Some of the women are hot, but most of them just want out of Mongolia. |

I traveled in Mongolia for a month a few years ago and was shocked at how pretty a significant number of the women were. Not only in UB, but in the countryside, as well. They didn't slather on the make up that so many Korean women did at the time. Made them even more attractive.
The most beautiful student I taught back in the States was Mongolian, but I suspect her family was pretty well off. Not sure that was a factor. |

Most of my biggest fantasies are about Mongolia.
Mongolia is home to the Taimen. The worlds largest salmonoid. I hope to spend a year teaching esl to country folks close to rivers with Taimen and a free fishing liscence.

Riverboy - "Hi" from a kindred spirit. I tried your link but it didn't work.
Have you checked out cherrytrout.com ? Some Taimen info. on there if I remember.
Mongolian chicks maybe, but we had some very cute little Khazikstan laides in my uni. apartment this year. Asian genes but speaking Rooossian. Hot. Hot. Hot!
And if you want some real salmonid porno - try www.shamusfishing.com |

I am in korea because they pay me money. I've gotten so close to korean women that you could slip a 757 between us. |
