You are given a 90 day tourist visa when you enter Japan. |

If you are holding a passport from one of: Korea, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand then a visa is not required. You will get a 90 day visa waiver stamp on arrival.
If you are from South Africa a visa is required. You will have to go to the Japanese embassy in Seoul to apply for one. Your travel agent may be able to do it for you.
If you are holding a passport from another country then it is dependent on where you are from.

You can either pay 30k won for a single re-entry visa to Korea, or 50k won for a multiple. There's an Immigration Office at Incheon Airport where you can do this. |

NO.
You can get a single use re-entry permit at the immigration office in the airport. The cost is 30k won. You MUST have your ARC, passport, 30k won and an application.
You can only get a multi-re-entry permit from your local immigration office. The cost is 50k won. Requirements are the same otherwise.

I was offered a multiple re-entry permit by Korean Immigration at Busan Port, in August 2006. Has this changed? I elected to go with a single re-entry permit, though. |
