I saw a job posting in Bucheon. I was wondering how this area is, I see it is between Seoul and Itwaewon(sp?) Also, how long of a trip by train or bus is it to seoul. Thanks anyone that can help.

It's a wonderful town. I lived there from March 2005 to the middle of February 2006. If you're lucky, you'll be housed close to Central Park. For all but two months of the year, the park is closed to vehicle traffic from Noon to Midnight on Saturdays and Sundays. There are inline skate rentals, tri-ski (like the trikke) rentals, a number of peddler stands, and it's just a nice park.

There are major department stores: GS Square (formerly LG Department Store), Hyundai, etc. Bucheon Station has a number of shops. There are a few municipal libraries and all you need to check out books is to register your ARC at any one of the libraries.

All kinds of restaurants. I know of a Vietnamese restaurant and I've heard there's an Indian restaurant.

It only takes a little over half an hour to take the express train to Yongsan Station in Seoul.

The only thing I didn't like about the town is that it's in the same cold weather zone as Seoul, thus you get snow. I don't like snow.

Oh, it's not between Seoul ande Itaeweon. Itaeweon is one of the districts in Seoul. Bucheon is between Seoul and Incheon. That means that not only is it a short ride to Seoul, it's also a short ride (catch the airport bus from across the street from Songnae Station) to the airport in Incheon.

I think he meant to say it's between Seoul and Incheon.

Not sure if it matters, but Bucheon will have a football club again in 2008, albeit in the K3-League.
