| I went to the Health Department a couple of hours ago and got tested. I'll get the results in two weeks. At what point do the results expire for Korean Immigration Department purposes? |

They should make foreigners take an AIDS test every 6 months. Isn't that how long it takes to show up in your system and be detected?
This way they can get those dirty disease infested waegs out of the country. |

| The test must be done once you get in country, so not recent, but rather in the future once you are here. |

I'm no expert on the new E-2 regs (to tell you the truth, I'm not sure anyone is, not even Immigration or Ministry of Justice!) but I believe you
have to have your AIDS test in Korea.
Perhaps you did, but your post sounded as if you're out of the country. |

It's funny how alot of people come here with no history of STD's. Sleep with one or more (depends how lucky you are) Korean girls/boys. End up getting a STD. But the Koreans are 100% sure we are dirty.

Yes. In order to acquire your visa, you must complete the "E-2 Applicant's Health Statement" form. It's just a bunch of yes/no questions that you check off, sign, and submit to Immi with your other documents.
After you arrive in Korea, you get the medical check done (including the HIV and drug tests) and submit the results when you apply for your alien registration card. This must be done no later than 90 days after arrival in country�but generally you'll want to do it as soon as possible, as it's a prerequisite for getting health insurance coverage, etc. |

Are not your kind more of a global threat in terms of A.I.D.S. given that your kind has propped up prostitution to absurdly high levels of your respective national economies?
People like you should get tested for the presense of H.I.V. right away -don't you think?!

Even if someone had AIDS...wtf does it have to do with teaching?

There is an old clinic in Itaewon, located across the street from the Goldfish bar. They can do a basic blood test that includes an HIV check for 30,000 won. Not sure what else needs to be in the blood test, but it's where I went for my yearly blood test in the past.
They got the results in a day. Not like back home, where I had to wait 2 weeks! |

Well, it is actually an HIV test, and they are 99.99% accurate from 3 months on if an antibody test is done.
It is a perfectly reasonable request to be made. For my Singaporean visa I had to provide one and for my American non-immigrant visa I had to provide one. TB chest x-rays too (in both cases).
In fact, the antibody test is so quick and painless (20 minutes to results and all one needs is a finger pr.ick) that making them part of any medial checkup is likely a good idea.
You seem to be another angry kyopo. I bet you're from a lower income area of Los Angeles. Right? Maybe... just another day in Korea? |

| I haven't seen the form, but I've heard the form asks if you have or have had HIV in the past. Check "have had" and then say it was cured after eating kimchi just as your case of SARS and bird flu were. |
