The Japanese model PS3 has only 60gb, lower than the Korean model's 80 gb. The Korean model can also play SACDs, but I don't know if the Japanese one can.

Then again, the Korean model new goes for around 518,000 won.

Yes, this plays SACDs.

It also has the onboard PS2 emulator chip (emotion?). The new 80gigs do it all by software, and are/were not as compatible with older PS1 and PS2 titles.

There was also a 20gb model that was discontinued some time ago, but it didn't have wifi. It was never sold in Korea, unless by import.

A larger hard drive (standard notebook size) can easily be switched for the current one on any PS3 model. There is a simple bay door on the side to do this. Lots of people do it.

Yes, you'll pay over 500,000 won for a new 80gb PS3.

It's not just that it's Japanese, the 60 and 20 gig ps3s were phased out and replaced by 80 and 40 giggers with slightly stripped specs (other than the HDD). I have a 20 gig that I'm going to upgrade the HDD on soon. Never thought I'd download so many damn free and $10 games, but women love them.

The only ps2 game worth playing on the ps3 IMO is God of War 2, but even that hurts to watch if you're used to HD.

Great price.

My lady is obsessed with that duck game, "Rub A Dub."

Well worth the $10.

Still getting calls from people who want it, but aren't actually showing up to buy it. Still available.
