Ok here is the scenario:

Visa expires march 31st
Current Job ends Feb 29th
I want to start my new job March 10th

Is this doable? Or does the new position have to begin immediately after the 29th like on March 3rd?

I would like to go home for a week before starting immediately for another year.

Get a release letter from your current boss and transfer your visa to the new job.

You can start if/when you and your new boss agree on a start date.

Yes, it is doable.
