Just finished a Black Beer Stout. AAH, how they can make such a horrible stout is beyond me. It's brewed by Hite. I think this is the old hite stout which was almost as bad, but they've sweeten it up and created a new name.

After I poured the stout in my class, it was fizzing like a pop! That was the highlight of the beer as it just got worse as I drank it.

Everyone should drink one as you'll appreciate quality beers that much more!

I can't believe a guy at work recommended this! I'm sure he was joking!

Actually, I enjoy it a great deal. But I really hate beer in general, especially Korean beer.

Hite stout is not a stout.....Guiness is a stout, Beamish is a stout...

Black Beer Stout is a new brand, not to be confused with Hite Stout.

To give you some idea of its quality...

It must be real bad. Wouldn't be a big fan of hite stout either. It tastes like a can one tenth filled with stout and topped off with hite lager. But in reality I'll drink anything....all this talk is making me thirsty! Off for a flagon of hite I go!

It's normal korean beer with ink in it. Remember you can't polish a turd.

Proper stout is full of iron, and is useful to be drunk by pregnant women to keep up their iron levels. I have no idea what the kids would be like if you drank this as a substitute.

It is the best domestically made brand name beer by far. And what gets me is it's sold for usually 100 w less than other more inferior beers.

I actually find myself in agreement with you that compared to Korean beer in general, this dark beer is actually good. i don't drink Hite or Cass. The only Cass I found to be okay was a relatively new beer called Cass Red. I am not much of a drinker, myself, but when I drink I have to drink imported stuff...

Good website that, Khunopie.

My God-son who's only 10 was going to inherit this brewery off his Dad, a Young. Shame they went into partnership, now I get zilch God-father beer when I get older.

This was their famous one

Actually Khonopie, that was not a good site.

It's friday.....

No work for the weekend.

I'm thirsty at school.

Reading a thread on tasteless Korean beer.

Checking out some reviews from the website:

Quote:
Notes of oak, smoke, hints of dried fruit (berries?) and dark chocolate. Solid black, nice leathery brown colored head. Bourbon and oak stand strong in flavor with nice balance of malt, coffee, and chocolate. Mouthfeel was creamy and thick with a smooth lasting finish. Excellent balance, great beer.

Quote:
Pours a thick dark hazy brown with little to no head. The nose is very reminiscent of a nice port, dark sugars, rum, raisins, plums, alcohol, earthy and mellow, slight Belgian tones. Dark sugars abound in the flavor, raisins, dark fruit, plum, rum, Belgian hints, caramel, a mild alcohol warmth, . The palate was full and sharply carbontated, warming and sweet. Long musty fruity finish. Delicious Belgian, best beer in the world...no. But still delicious

Ah man, I want some decent beer. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I had some last night. Nothing special, seemed like all korean brews, which are watery beer flavored drinks.
