As others have mentioned, networking and being out will yield you far better results. Put yourself in a lot of social situations. And I'm not talking about Hongdae clubs or Limelight.
Check out social clubs like:

This will go a long way to get the networking ball rolling. |

KFF is a good site for potential gf material; UBLove is another similar site with some absolute cuties.
The sites can/do work, but it is similar to real life - the more you bring, the better your luck. Also, these are all pretty much paysites, if you want to get the full range of services.

I'm not really on the prowl so much these days, but if I was there seems to be a wealth of options over there.

Of course it works. You can do both - get out and meet people, or arrange to go out and meet them beforehand. Its essentially the same.
I dont get the technophobes who prefer to spend 25,000 won in bar-hopping and half the night making attempts at meeting girls.. when you can arrange to meet a girl well-beforehand by spending 5 minutes to push "send" on a webpage.
Its essentially the same thing. One is just significantly more easier and simplistic. |

I met one girl once from that site. We would hang out a bit. She already had a boyfriend, but i didn't mind. I wasn't really into her anyway. She got married and had a kid last I heard.
I think the site changed shortly after (that was in 1999 or 2000). Now I think you need to pay. Anyway i gave up on that one. Never tried the ublove one.
In 1998/99 I had some luck with the personals in the Korea Herald. Wrote a few ads and answered a few. At one point I had 20 or more replies, most females in their 20s. Now i don't think there would be as many. Plus now I'm 35 yrs old, too old for most of them. They like to see an age under 30. |

My first girlfriend ever was a bona fide MILF... but that wasn't what got me interested... I didn't know she had a kid until a little bit after I was interested in her. She is still hot... makes my current girlfriend jealous... |
