Does Korea have GSM phone companies? If so I may pick one up this week.
Great phone, really easy to unlock (I have done a touch and its pretty much the same thing) too. |

| I think the only GSM here is ROAMING. So, yes there is GSM but you will be paying a LOT of money to use it. |

| If you wait maybe another Q or two, the 3G phone will be coming out. Many of the Mac rumor sites are saying that sometime soon Apple is going to release a 3G version. From the way the GSM's work, all you would have to do is get a sim card from a 3G provider to get the 3G version to work here. Hopefully the next Mac conference will see the 3G come out. |

i would also wait for the 3G version. I read somewhere that apple is already in talks with korea telecom. 3G is so much faster than 2.5G.
regarding GSM, pkang is correct. I tried to use my japanese vodafone 3G GSM phone in korea, but no telecom provider here would support it.  was an awesome phone. |
