Which is the better choice of the two systems? Also, play legit copies of online games with either machine? Is there much difference between PS online and XBox live?

I'll assume a typo on your part and you actually mean either Xbox 360 or PS3, right? Personally I was a Sony fan but last year switched to Xbox 360 as I believe their online service is better as they've been doing it longer. I bought it purely for the hockey Nhl 07 and now Nhl 08 and have been VERY satisfied. I'd say go for Xbox 360, but if playing Blue-ray movies is important to you than PS3 is more for you.

not a typo. I am asking about the original X-Box and PS2. If both are modded, which one is the better choice. However, thank you for giving me your opinion about X box Live. I hear it's good, but you have to pay and if they find out your machine is chipped they will band the unit from X box live.

I am not sure if Sony does the same thing.

Here is the REAL low down on those 2 systems:

Get an XBOX if:

-you enjoy sports games
-you enjoy FPSs

Get a PLAYSTATION if:
-you enjoy RPGs
-you like variety (e.g. movie games, etc.)

I have always been biased towards playstation as I love to play RPGs (when I have time).
