The government on Monday started to put police officers onboard flights bound for Los Angeles, Oakland, Toronto, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur to protect passengers from potential terrorist attacks, officials said yesterday.

The measure follows the National Police Agency's order last Tuesday to tighten onboard security. NPA spokesmen said that it was a precautionary step and will last until Friday.

It will last until Friday, hunh?

I guess that's a notice to any terrorist to schedule his/her attack before the weekend.

This must have been planned by the same people who direct cops to drive around with their lights flashing and who post when and where cops will be checking for drunk drivers.

Gee, a terrorist decides to blow up a pland full of passengers and a KOREAN cop will stop them!?!?!?!? You mean these same cops who sleep in cop cars, who stand on street corners and watch the red light runners go by and watch the cars drive right through the crosswalk with pedestrians in them! The same cops who are wearing the gummy bear stickers on their gun belts!? Oh and should I mention that the gun holster is usually empty!! Last year, korea held a meeting hosting national police agencies from around the world, INTERPOL, RCMP, FBI, Secret Service, MI3, Mossad, etc. as well as local police chiefs from big cities from around the world also. A number of local police chiefs from other countries were asked their impressions of korean drivers, taxi/bus drivers and the public in general. This question was asked by a number of korean reporters because "word was getting around" that drivers in korea are bad and they were hoping tp dispel the myth. Well a few of the well know cops stated that for one, "there would not be enough ticket books in the world to write up all the violations that they have seen in korea!" Another said, "just put a fence around korea with barb wire." Meaning, lock up the whole country.
Of course, the story died out real quickly in the news. No mention of it a few days later.
