If you want a multiple re-entry permit you can get it at your local immigration office.

You CAN get a single re-entry stamp at the airport. There is no limit to the number of times you can do this.

A multi re-entry permit is 50k won. Single re-entry permits are 30k won each time.

You can get them on the web BUT most people who have tried have run into problems later that have caused delays and frustration.

You can get the day you fly.

Allow a couple hours for getting your re-entry permit, checkin and security clearance.

There is a policy now to NOT allow people to check in any later than 45 minutes prior to flight time and you MUST have your re-entry permit BEFORE you check in.

The immigration office is located in a hallway behind check-in counter "F" on the departures level.

My school just renewed my work visa. My intial visa came with the multiple entry visa (many thanks). I assumed, that my school was also renewing or whatever, my re-entry visa. Well, earlier this month at Busan International Ferry terminal, I was jerked out of line and taken into the side office and given a lecture on getting my visa in order. Long story short, they allowed me to purchase the single-entry visa on the spot but they do not issue multiple-entry visas.

1/2 correct.

Entry/exit ports only issue single re-entry permits.

Multi-re-entry permits are available

BUT

IF you want a multi-re-entry permit you must obtain it from the local immigration office that has jurisdiction over your area BEFORE you want to travel.

What time does the immigration open at the airport. I have a flight that leaves on Saturday at 9:30 in the morning.

The service counter (for re-entry permits) is open from 6am - 10pm every day.
