Since I am so stupid and you are so smart would you be so inclined to let me know how you would go about it since I have only been in Korea for a week?

Ok - Ill tell you why its stupid Razz
This is a board for ENGLISH teachers in Korea. Not Spanish teachers, a Spanish expat community or whatever. However there might be some people here who do speak average/good/fluent Spanish. If they are English Teachers, a Spanish/English Language exchange offers nothing to them.

Now lets say I have a friend/acquaintance who is actually interested in a Spanish/English language exchange. By posting your original message in Spanish, I'm unable to help you.

A good way to get the ball rolling could have been to post your message in Spanish and throw in an English translation for us non-Spanish speakers who may be able to point you in the right direction. Also, try craigslist, you might have more luck there. www.craigslist.org

I have very basic Spanish and could get the gist of the message, wish I was more fluent as I would jump at the chance, oh well...

There are a few people around who do Spanish exchanges, there is one group in Busan I think, maybe try the pusanweb site?

Sorry, this is my first time on the ESL cafe! But I am a english teacher but do not want to lose my fluency in Spanish. I just want to meet people and have conversations in English and Spanish. I will check craig's list and the others mentioned, Thank you

I can read Spanish and understand it when spoken at a medium rate, my speaking ablility on the other hand is horrible. The search function does work here are a few threads already started on this subject of people looking for Spanish exchnges.
