Passed by it on Friday night and it was totally torn apart. Don't know if they are renovating or it's a permanent closing. Beer there wasn't too bad either.... |

Bah, all of the beers were watery and sucky except for the Morphine.
Sweet, sweet Morphine... |

I went by a few weeks ago and the sign said they were closed until their grand re-opening. (A Korean friend was with me). It gave no timeline, but implied that they would be opening again. |

Have to disagree with that. Ur clearly a big fan of strong, sweet beer. |

I'm a fan of beer that has flavor Malty and strong is nice, but I usually prefer dark and/or hoppy I love me some Alley Kat and I've got some tasty Dunkel that's almost ready to drink carbing up in my veranda (tastes like Becks Dark but less bland, hell of a lot better than the crap that gets passed of as Dunkel in Korean brewpubs). |

Weird that such an insignificant brew is so popular among expats in Korea.
They don't even have a Wikipedia page. |

Well hoppy ale is good stuff and for some reason the only beer with any large amounts of hops that I've ever seen in Korea is Alley Kat. Even if you don't especially love hops, its nice to have at least some beer with hop flavor/bitterness sometimes. |

What did the Alley Kat people do to you...? Pee in your cornflakes...?
Who cares? Why is it necessary to have a 'Wikipedia Page' to be anything? If it's so important to you, check out their website... or their Galbijim page.
All you need to know, once you pull your head out of your rectum, is that it's a damned good beer, brought to Korea by people who know good beer and care about what people drink; don't drink it if you don't like it, but realize that you're an ignorant *beep* - with a moronic on-line name- when it comes to beer's contribution quality of life, and go from there.
If this is such a big deal to you that it requires such a snide, smarmy response, then get off your butt and import your own 'significant' beer and leave those of us who enjoy it to continue doing so.

um calling Alley Kat "damn good beer" would be a long shot (it compares to other decent ambers and esb like beers one can find in the market in other parts of the world). IT IS though one of the better beers one can find in Korea. I will take that over anything else that is usually available here.
Now if I had my choice I would love some Duvel, Chimay, Tios Pistoles, Double Bastard Ale, Reverend, oh my the list goes on!!!!
Sorry, I'm a beer snob. |

Closed Closed Closed.
Found out the hard way last night. Called them yesterday to make a reservation - got redirected automatically to the other branch - the jack@ss took my booking without mentioning the fact that the one in Gangnam is closed.
Apparently the branch in Aflujeong doesn't do buffet style - don't know how I'm going to get through my remaining 6 months!
As an aside - I heard Cass is the number 1 selling beer in Mongolia - what a depressing thought! |
