ok, have you ever got yourself into a odd bind and not known how to fix it? Have you spent countless hours on the net trying to track down solutions? Have you been busted and later found out how you could have saved yourself?
Well this thread is for things that we should have been taught right away but may have found through trial and error. If you have any life lessons.. please share tham here so all can avoid the pitfalls. This is valid for general ideas or life in Korea. heres one to start it off...
How to get rid of a hicky; QUICK!
If you've ever gotten a hicky, you kow they usually go away on their own in a few days. But what if you need to get rid of it in a hurry, what can you do? Heres what I found...
Use hot and cold on the affected area.
For cold I recomend Milk (soaked cotton), yogurt, ect...
For heat I used a damp heated cloth but I htink anything else will due.
Basically you rotate the two every minute or two stopping every 4 mins to use the spoon! Take baout 3 spoons and put them in the freezer, let them chill and then every 4 mins apply pressure with the spoon to the affected area. Try to "push the blood away from the main site". Circles or lines, its your pick.. just try to spread it out.
Repeat the above for about an hour and all should be good.
This will not get rid of it 100%, but i've found between 60-80% success!
Happy sucking!! |

I have heard of using cold spoons on a hickey to "erase" it. You really should rub lotion on the affected area first so as to not irritate the skin any forther. If you try to remedy the situation right away (and what I have heard is to rub for about an hour, changing spoons every 10 minutes, or until they return to room temperature) you will successfully remove the hickey.
The important thing is to use lotion!

This is a site full of home remedies. Maybe they work, maybe they don't. Try for yourself.
I actually thought this was going to be a kind of warm fuzzy/precious moments type thread.....

Life Lessons:
When you live in a cold climate and you lick something metal in the winter, DO NOT attempt to jerk your tongue away; wait a few moments, exhale through your mouth, and the heat from your breath will allow you to remove your tongue safely from the object.
[postscript: As far as I'm concerned there should be a law in Canada making this lesson mandatory in kindergarten- it certainly would have saved me a lot of pain. ] |

I know. I know. But some people just tend to bruise more easily than others. |

When seeing more than one person, try to organise things so they never appear in the same place at the same time. |

Always make an effort to see the positive side of things... if not, you will descend ever deeper into a whirlpool you can never swim out of:) |

I thought it was because I perpetually have the horomonal levels of an 18 year old male and I appreciate the absurd. |
