So I went to the consulate today (mon), dropped off my passport to have my visa put into it, and I asked about the interview and I was told "not necessary"....wtf?!?!
Why do they just make up rules as they go along or what? Is it because I'm working at a public school maybe? |

Yes. Or rather, they make up the application of the rules as they go along. |

Well, 90% of the interview is probably just checking out the applicants appearance and the OP might have done a good job of that at the window. |

I got my new visa last week at the Consulate in New York City. They told me I didn't need an interview because I'd already spent a year teaching in Korea. |

Darkness, which consulate did you go to? The consulate in SF told me they decide if the interview is required on a case by case basis. Peace. |

Left hand right hand...arbitrary...nonsensical...
Stick your index finger in your mouth, hold your arm up in the air. See which way the wind is blowing.
Nothing is con-sist-ent with these rules and regulations. |
