It seems that they pulled the ol' switcheroo with a bunch of channels and added a bunch of stuff I'll never watch. Can anyone find CNN?

Yes, rumor has it that some of the local cable companies have pulled CNN. I was up in Seoul visiting my in-laws for Lunar New Year. They had CNN in the past, but don't now. Trying to watch election coverage was difficult.

Thank god I have CNN at home here in Gwangju.

Yep, me too. AFN is also gone, I had actually convinced myself the day would never come. Nice that they don't give any notice of the changes, just sign a one year contract and we'll do whatever we want to your service, whenever we want. Kangnam Cable TV Sparkring.

I live in NE Seoul, and have cable by Qrix. We lost AFKN a week ago Monday, and it was replaced by Discovery. Not complaining.

I just called and you can get CNN through their digital cable service. Sigh.

Never mind...found it on CH 251 plus CH 254 is BBC World!! Still can't find AFN though. Oh well, can't have 'em all.

CNN is kind of boring & always repeating the stuff as well as giving one sided view on some event (usually pro-American and not objective).

Guys - get digital satelite or pay extra for receiver box. As you do in your home countries....

AFN is going to be gone for good folks, the USFK has finally convinced the overseer of cable tv companies in korea that they have to pull the plug. US producers found out that korean cable companies were pirating the afn signal and putting out on their cable systems. that caused them to gripe because they were getting less for rights fees. they threatened that unless this happened they werent going to give afrts any more shows for free or low cost which would of killed afn (also it gives the military a good excuse to force members to get afn dishes and pay for afn cable at a nice little profit, in fact they cant even put in on a regular cc or pay cash, they have to use their military cc).

cnn? check to see if your cable company has digital service, i bet the farm thats where its at now. think the govt froze basic rates so they only way to get more revenue is to put it on a digital tier

I still get AFN because I have the digital and HD cable package. But AFN will be gone from the end of June at the latest, but heck, I never watch it anymore.

I'm not a happy camper... let's see if I can cancel the cable.
The only thing I watch that's left is Discovery but you can get those shows online.
