I like watching movies and t.v. shows at surfthechannel.com but I want to

save them to my desktop then convert them and watch them on my huge t.v. instead of my little monitor.

I went to applian.com and bought all of their saving software but nothing will work to save movies and t.v. shows.

what to do now? Confused

what you want to do is capture streaming media. Google a phrase like that and research away. There are lots of different methods and software to do this.

thanks for your reply chevro1et.

the applian software can capture streaming media but oddly enough it won't work at surfthechannel.
I have contacted them and asked for a refund.

thanks for your reply cbclark4.

yeah you're right. I will go back to using utorrent and getting all movies and t.v. shows from torrents.

camstudio will capture anything that is displayed on your screen. I use it for recording CNBC videos for my business classes. It's worth a look.

I suggest newsgroups or torrents. IMO newsgroups are easier, as public torrents have some crap encodes...seriously, been there, done that.

Private torrent sites like bitemetv require an invite and are hard to keep up a ratio from what I've heard.

So again, newsgroups wins for good quality scene release stuff at fast speeds without having to bother seeding.

How about some links to your favorite newsgroups.
