on friday I'm going to thailand for the weekend.
I plan on taking a backpack carry on to avoid check in hassles.
I am wondering if there will be a problem taking toothpaste and shampoo and cologne etc.
I recall years ago having a problem at the airport with them taking all liquids out of my carry on and throwing them in the garbage. I was pissed because my cologne was expensive and I had to go shopping after I landed.
do you know? |

You will NOT be allowed to take any liquid, paste or gel with a container size of more than 100ml. through the security clearance at the airport in Incheon.
The total of all the combined items may not exceed 1 liter and must be in a clear plastic bag for the security check.
Toothpaste and shampoo are cheap in Thailand. Buy them when you land or at the duty free AFTER you go through security and before you leave. |

i've been on a lot of flights since the liquid/gels thing started in 2006. other than my original flight to korea in 10/06, i haven't checked a bag for a single one of them. so, in the 10 or so flights i've had departing from incheon, i've always just carried on a backpack, and i've had liquids and gels in the pack every time. it's never been a problem. on one flight, they were searching everyone's bag at the jetway for an additional security measure. my toiletry bag was somewhere in the middle of my backpack (not a backpacker backpack, mind you, but a normal school backpack) and security never noticed it. |
