I just stumbled on a terrific 'new' source of entertainment. I was reading about Damon Runyon on Wiki and it said you can listen to all 52 episodes of Damon Runyon Theater, broadcast in 1949 (dramatizations of his stories). The cite has other programs from Old Time Radio.
I had no idea this stuff was on the internet. Wahoo!
There may even be some stuff useful for use in class. Just think--stories specifically written to be listened to. |

Good thread, Ya-ta, but boy are you late to the OTR party.

That's just the tip of a very large iceberg, but it should get you started. I've been on the verge of getting my 2nd OTR & big band-related radio stream started, but now that's looking more like early summer at the earliest.
Individual shows are okay, but you'll soon want to listen to a few radio streams, I'm sure of it.
Have fun! |

Thanks for the links, Guru. Yeah, I'm late--what can I say? I just figured out You Tube a few weeks ago. |
