Guys, the search function is a limitation of the old phpbb software. You get what you pay for, and that software is free. As for upgrading to different stuff- I doubt it will happen, but not for the reasons you think. Moving a database from one type of forum software to another is a real pain in the butt, and nearly impossible, with a database this size.
I've seen the latest versions of phpBB and that is still a huge step up in user friendliness and might be more doable. |
