I'm afraid that I'm going to have to ask for specifics here. I'm an avid HP sauce fan and am frequently at the import markets at Namdaemun, Red Door, Hannam, Haddon, and also am at Costco and Home Plus often. I've never seen this sold anywhere in the 6 years that I've been here. Even past threads on this topic have all revealed people not seeing this anywhere, except in very hit/miss occasions at Home Plus. The common stock only seems to be A1 and L&P.
For those of you who have definitely bought this (and not A1) at those places you mentioned, can you specify which Lotte Mart, Costco, Homeplus or which import market at Namdaemun? There are numerous import kiosks in Namdaemun, so please try to be specific. Thanks heaps! |

I've a Costco card and I've not seen it in the Daegu banch. Nor have I ever seen any in Lotte.
I do have abouta 1/4 of a bottle in the cupboard though. Picked it up in Shanghai over Xmas. |

I've been checking every Korean supermarket and Itaewon foreign-stuff store for 8 years. Never seen HP sauce for sale in Korea.
I get mine sent from home, or I buy some when I visit other Asian countries that, unlike Korea, actually see fit to stock a variety of goods from around the world. |

In Namdaemun market, there is a large foreign market in the downstairs of a shopping mall. It has about 5 floors of Korean junk, then the basement is full of imported booze, furniture, and tons of candy and, yes, HP sauce. The closest directions I can give you is, if you can find the jewelry street that is on the north part of namdaemun, walk a block south of it through the market, and on the right is the mall, in between the junky stalls. Make sure if you do find it, there is actually two parts to it downstairs, so make sure you go through the doors downstairs at the corners, and you will find even more stores down there. hope that helps, sorry I couldn't give you the name of the mall. |
