Wow, the Clinton's are getting desperate for the ducats. The best part is that to enter you have to donate.
Is Elton John even a US citizen? Damn Brits mucking about with our elections. Time for another tea party. Signing up for her mailing list provides daily entertainment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear ------,
In the interest of harmony -- and melody -- I promise you there won't be any duets.
I'm really looking forward to the solo concert my friend Elton John is throwing in New York to help our campaign -- and I would very much like the chance to meet you there.
We're sending two supporters, along with their guests, to New York with VIP tickets for this very special, one-night-only concert on April 9, and it could be you. We will have a chance to talk just you and I -- and you will get to meet Elton John at the party we're throwing afterwards. It's going to be a great night.
Your support is so important to my campaign right now. As we ramp up our campaign in Pennsylvania, I need your help to make sure we have the resources we need to win. If you enter, you and I might see each other in New York on April 9. Make a contribution today.
Enter now for a chance to join me at Elton's solo concert in New York on April 9.
Elton's concert comes at such an exciting moment in our campaign. I'm seeing incredible enthusiasm as I travel across Pennsylvania and other states with upcoming contests.
We've got momentum at our backs, but a big task ahead of us. The Obama campaign is in the middle of a $3 million ad blitz in Pennsylvania, and we've got to do everything we can to overcome their fundraising advantage. Then we face competitive contests in Indiana, North Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Oregon, and Puerto Rico -- and we are already getting started in those states.
There's no better time to support our campaign, and no better way to do it than to make a contribution. And if you enter today, you may join me and Elton for a one-of-a-kind concert.
Enter now for a chance to join me at Elton's solo concert in New York on April 9.
Thank you so much for all your support. I hope you know how much you mean to me and my campaign.
Sincerely,
Hillary Rodham Clinton |

Possibly having a little bit more strategy would have done her some good. |

Yeah, Sullivan is kind of like the lady that was at my county caucus.
Here's the story...
At my county caucus there was a lady wearing "Republicans for Obama" t-shirt. She was allowed to speak as a direct result of the shirt. Her choice of political speech? She held up an Obama sign with the 'hope' slogan on it and pointed at it repeatedly while singing "The Sun will come out tomorrow" in a nasal squeak. Sometimes your supporters hurt you more than help you. |

I don't think she's dipping into strange territory. I doubt many Elton John fans are on the fence b/w Hillary and Obama given the general demographic. People will pay good money to see Elton John and the Eagles and (Van Halen and Bon Jovi). It's easy money if you can get the artist in your camp. Her back's against the wall (again). This is not surprising nor is it especially crass or opportunistic seeing as how this is a national presidential election. This is pretty mild. |

It also seems a number of homosexuals are not just pro-Clinton but anti-Obama. Perez (yeah, it's a guilty pleasure) is clearly in the tank for Clinton, even with the O/C C/O shirts. Tucker Carlson has also made some pro-Clinton, given a choice between Obama and Clinton, statements, and I've always suspected that Carlson is a poof. |

Would this be the same as when the Beatles' John Lennon voiced opposition to the War in Vietnam as a resident of the U.S. I don't even know if Elton John is a resident of the U.S, but John Lennon was even though he was British. I believe the FBI was watching Lennon in those days. However, there is a difference between a John Lennon voicing opposition to a war and protesting as a non-citizen, because he hated war and Hillary Clinton having a foreigner help her in a campaign like that.
Just my thoughts on that.... |
