I am serious. I am in a situation where I could do a visa run to Japan for someone. I want to go to Japan for a couple days, willing to pay a little for the flight.
I got student visas back in America for my class when we went to China, but I don't know if E2 visas are different. |

How are you going to get the entry/exit stamps in their passport? Commit serious illegal activities by travelling on someone else's passport? They check for those stamps, you know. |

No. Unless you really look a lot like the other person and are willing to break international law.
What the hell though, why not do it? It's probably only a 100 dollar fine if you get caught... |

Why is this question being taken as such? When I got my E2 visa in the States, my ex-boyfriend dropped it off, picked it up, and mailed it to me since I had moved. When I got my Vietnam visa, my boyfriend picked it up for me, no problem.
Why would she need to travel on the other person's passport? She travels on her passport, gets the visa for the other person, brings it back.
What's the problem? Is it because the other person entered on a tourist visa? Do you HAVE to exit and re-enter? |

Because you need proof that you left the country and proof that you entered the country for your visa to work...
You can't get immigration at the airport or seaport of Korea to stamp a visa in a passport of someone else... |

How is breaking internation law, risking losing your passport, being deported, possible jail time and never being able to leave your home country again considered stupid. He may get a $100 ferry trip for free.
Sounds like a real adventure, give it a try. |

If Korea permitted one to obtain a new E-2 visa in country for someone who is already here and allowed the applications along with the passports to be mailed into the servicing Immigration office, then there would be no problem. If the applicant were already in Japan and Korea permitted a mail-in application to a consulate in Japan, again there would be no problem.
Problem is, though, Korea doesn't and the applicant's not in Japan anyway. The OP's obviously not talking about traveling on another person's passport. They're talking about delivering the passport and application on behalf of another person. But that's just not the system Korea has in place. |

Is it possible to get an E2 placed into their passport = yes (with the proviso that you have a signed application, photos, other required documents if necessary and the fee).
HOWEVER
They still need to make a run out of the country ( to cancel their current visa/waiver stamp / STATUS ) so they can enter back into Korean and activate the new E2 visa. You cannot do it for them. |
