So I'm looking for an apartment in South Seoul. I have 10M for key money and 400 per month to work with. I started looking around in the Seoul National University area but everything is REALLY small. Like wouldn't fit a queen size bed small. So I was wondering if there is an area a little bit further south, within about 20 minutes commute by bus that would have places a little bit bigger. I know if you go north (like into Ilsan or the Nowon area) that the bigger places get a little cheaper, so I was hoping it works the same if you go more south.

So does anyone know an area (probably in Gwanak) that has decent sized housing in that price range?

If you're wondering why I'm not asking a Korean realtor, it's because I'm doing this from America, so if you know any realtors that speak English and can give me a hand, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

South of the river for 400K Laughing You're not going to find much better than that. You can get good deals if you commute, lived in a nice big two bedroom place in Seongnam for 300k/month for a while and Itaewon is fairly cheap...

If you don't mind a commute, Bucheon to the west would be your best bet for cheap housing.

Yeah, I definitely want to commute. I know there isn't going to be much within or around the green line (didn't expect it, either), but I didn't know if getting further from the city (but staying in Gwanak) would help any. If not, oh well.
