Quote:
British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is back filming in the U.S., and this time he has outraged folks in Wichita, Kan.

Baron Cohen, who sparked several lawsuits after duping people in the guise of Kazakh newsman Borat in his last movie, is touring the U.S. as another of his alter egos, Bruno.

He surprised people at a Wichita airport this weekend by stripping down to a bare-midriff belly shirt and hotpants and then dancing.

Airport security became concerned over the show, especially when Bruno began to kiss other passengers.

Security didn't find anything illegal in the performance, but asked the film crew to leave.

Airport officials are now rewriting their policy on commercial filming they had granted permission to a film crew for a movie about a "European man" visiting America.

Baron Cohen is filming a mockumentary starring Bruno, a flamboyant Austrian TV presenter.

He and his crew are also reported to have disrupted an Easter play at a Kansas church by turning up in chains.

In his spectacularly successful Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, Baron Cohen caught cringe-inducing scenes with ordinary people by engaging them as the anti-Semitic, misogynistic, homophobic Borat.

He retired Borat, and his TV persona Ali G., after the film, saying they were too well-known.

Universal studios paid more than $42 million US for the rights to the Bruno movie, rumoured to be titled Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt.

This movie will be so good it will hurt. The "Bruno visits the evil show" skit still brings tears to my eyes. It will be a true "Schiesse mein furor"!

Bruno was always my least favorite character, but he may evoke more hilarity from my fellow 'uh-mare-uh-cans' than Borat. Crazy foreigner is a lot more acceptable than flaming eurotrash, though I expect the same amount of humping.

It's probably the weakest of his characters, but I'm sure he'll get a few miles out of it. He'll need to be careful though, else some redneck will stab him in the ass.

Love the title.

i think bruno's finest hour was when he went to florida for spring break...

winnebago with 5-6 steakhead jock morons... he tries to set up a shot where they all yell, "PARTY!!!" one by one.

he stages it so that they have to keep re-shooting it, and this one concrete-skulled future business leader of america just starts going overboard and screaming. he's so into it, even climbing up on top of the winnebago and screaming "PARTY!!!" all red-faced, to one-up his friends

then bruno says, finally "ok, i think we got it!"

high fives ensue, and bruno says "do you guys have a message for austrian gay tv?"

"what the *beep*? GAY??? GAY???"

wait - i found it, sans "PARTY!!!"

that was good, but the funnier part was when the guy was teaching him some wrestling moves and bruno continously puts his face near the dude's junk when he falls and says "great let's do it again"
and then gets the guys to do a flex show and asks to see their ass muscles which they agree to do

Arrow More Bruno

Bruno: "So, how many years have you been straight?"
Pastor: " I've been straight all my life"
Bruno: "What?"
Pastor: I've never had a homosexual relationship"
Bruno: "So, you've never had a walk on the brown side?"
Pastor: [looking uncomfortable] "Never"
Bruno: "So, if I were to give you a lap dance right here and now are you telling me you wouldn't be turned on?"
Pastor: "Absolutely not because it's forbidden by the word of God"
Bruno: "Okay, can I try it?"
Pastor: "No"
Bruno: "Are you scared that you'd be turned on?"
Pastor: "No. I'm a Christian Minister and it's absolutely inappropriate"

I was reluctant to link to that on this forum because the trailer contains nudity.

Quite funny. But Bruno is nowhere near as funny as Ali G.

Jeez. Can't believe this was posted a year ago. Seems like only a month or two ago.

I expect it'll be released in the Summer. Not sure what Cohen will do next unless he's developed a couple more characters.

While I understand his schtick is making fun of really stupid people, he's going to need to start finding another country to lampoon because he's going to start pissing off average Americans by constantly targeting Americans with these movies. Strange as it seems, the market he hopes to tap is the American market, and as more and more Americans find that his humor has moved from parody to straight out insult (which is what a lot of these setups lead to), he's going to find that he's less and less welcome in the US. Personally, I find it hilarious that he's capable of showing such a hidden part of people in their natural form, but at some point the manipulation starts to wear thin. And this comes from someone who actually likes his humor.

I hope the makers of the original Bruno sue the pants off of him.
