Hello people. I have just finished a class with three students (all men) and professionals studying business English but for a change we looked at movies. What subject did this go on to? Yep, you guessed it porno movies. They asked the meaning of 'eros' movies with the word 'eros' being a Konglish word and I mentioned adult movies.

Then they were off chatting away in English about their favourite adult movie. I were pleased that they were talking in English and were able to correct them but why adult movies?

Now I looked at this forum and noticed a thread about Korean women and another thread about why do Korean women do this, that or the other? Is there something in the air tonight? Are men feeling a bit weird tonight in Korea?

Men are like that everywhere. I had the same qualms with men back home. We can make many generalizations about either sex, and one we can make about men is that roughly one in every five men has this kind of personality and it isn't uncommon for a group of men to talk like this together.

I'm always uncomfortable amidst those kinds of conversations, but I've been in enough to know that it is intrinsic to all things manly.

It would be so funny do a listening lesson based upon a porn video, won't it? Imagine doing it for high school kids, they would be jumping all over the place.

In the past I've done lessons based on scandals of famous actresses making porn films and them leaking into the public relm. It's a big hit with adult classes
