The other day I was making something that required cubes of tofu. I didn't have time to buy some so I used pork instead. It actually tasted better.

Shouldn't this be in the "Post nothing of interest" thread?

I find many dishes can be improved with the addition of meat. For example, salad. Ever throw in some bacon? Whoa. Then rice. Why have just white rice when you can throw in some groud beef?

Koreans of course have taken this to a whole new level by adding meat to pastry:

And let's not forget adding spaghetti with a nice meat sauce to a sugar cone:

It was a restaurant in Myeong dong. Alas it didn't last very long. I think the guy noticed "pizza cones" were an up 'n' coming food:

And sort of did that Korean thing where you just take what you have lying around. "Hmmm. Cone. Looks like a cone from Baskin Robbins."

Yeah, someone really needs to tell Koreans that just because a food looks like another food doesn't mean it tastes as good as that other food. They should also tell them that just because three foods might taste good separately does not mean that they taste good blended together and put on bread.

The reason they don't have great recipe ideas here in Korea is because you don't have stoners.

When you get the munchies and you have limited supply of food, you get creative.

Creative? The stoners I knew would sit down and eat a whole package of uncooked spaghetti or fry up two pounds of bacon. (Although the bacon is more appealing than that spaghetti waffle cone thing)

One of the things I find refreshing about Korea is the lack of vegetarianism. To them, it's a bit strange and highly irrational not to eat meat - and I have to agree. For me, a meal is not complete with at least some meat in it.

Is that really spaghetti in that cone? I thought it was just some ice cream made to look like spaghetti, kind of along the lines of those novelty cakes made to look like cheeseburgers. Though---or hoped.

There's a street stall outside exit 7 of Gangnam station that sells spaghetti in a waffle cone too (sorry, no pictures).

Obviously, many people are "blissfully" ignorant of the cycle of violence and destruction perpetuated by unnecessary killing of animals.

Those who actually go out of their way to glorify meat-eating will hopefully some day discover a higher taste...
