Prove it.

That spice girl that married that American soccer guy (Beckham -i think he plays for LA) had to change her nationality from american to british and come back to the US on a tourist visa.

Care to get some real information about Victoria Beckham? The woman was born British in the UK, grew up in the UK, and is still a UK citizen.

Michael the molester has been in the us on several occaisons and he has never lost his citizenship. here is how you can lose US Citizenship:

Quote:
As a historical matter, U.S. citizenship could be forfeited upon the undertaking of various acts, including naturalization in a foreign state, service in foreign armed forces, and voting in a foreign political election (with a few exceptions, such as municipal and local elections as opposed to presidential and other national elections). However, a line of U.S. Supreme Court decisions beginning with Afroyim v. Rusk constitutionally limited the government's capacity to terminate citizenship to those cases in which an individual engaged in conduct with an intention of abandoning their citizenship. In the wake of administrative practice changes adopted by the U.S. Department of State during the mid 1990s, it is now virtually impossible to lose one's citizenship without expressly renouncing it before a U.S. consular officer

You can also have your citizenship taken away via a treason conviction in the US. I think for non-naturalized US citizens (us who were born there etc) this is the only way a court can take away citizenship without your consent

Beckham is British so I bet US work visa rules apply like any other athlete that plays in the US. Victoria is also British so she gets in on a spousal visa

A little known point about US tax law: If you voluntarily give up your US citizenship, you must still pay US taxes for 10 years after the relinquishment.

Loss of U.S. Citizenship. Under certain circumstances, you may lose your U.S. citizenship by performing, voluntarily and with the intetion to relinquish U.S. citizenship, any of the following acts: (1) being naturalized in a foreign state; (2) taking an oath or making a declaration to a foreign state; (3) serving in the armed forces of a foreign state; (4) accepting employment with a foreign government; or (5) formally renouncing U.S. citizenship before a U.S. consular officer overseas. Consult the nearest American embassy or consulate, or contact the Office of American Citizens Services...You may continue to have U.S. tax liability even if you lose U.S. nationality. Address questions on this topic to the IRS.

You are citing countless incidences involving very high-profile celebrity personalities to support an allegation that the United States is systematically exiling its citizens and refusing to ever let them return home?

This is a twisted, antiAmerican website sometimes.

Actually, I think the US banished many people who supported the British during the American Revolution and many others simply didn't want to become a citizen of what many other nations thought would be "a failed state"

Why not?!
America is a dark and twisted place to live......

Your choice is an easy one, then: do not live in America. Simple.

I think you're reading that particular statute incorrectly.

The people posting pornographic pictures, links, avatars and stating damn this or that country are in clear violation of the TOS. Posting on Dave's is a privilege many of us enjoy; do not abuse this privilege. For those who keep it clean, we thank you.
