Out of the CRC and transcripts, I'd do that first.

All that money spent on the processing of a visa can be taken in to account as a prerequisite to finding out that you are disqualified. That way you'll know that you have a clean bill of health before you spend all of your hagwon bosses money on a flight.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Also, does anyone have a list of what doctors test for here?

Currently, immigration requires you to have your medical check IN KOREA and BEFORE you get your ARC.

I do NOT know if they will accept a medical from your home country to meet the requirements prior to the issuance of your ARC.

The thing in your home country is a simple medical questionnaire done by yourself.

I think what he's getting at is that it would be smart to get a checkup back home before coming here. If you have a problem, better to find out before flying halfway around the world only to be deported at your own expense.

As for what they're looking for: the regulations say that "[t]hose who are found to have drug intake, AIDS, or other disease the law defines as serious contagious disease in their health examination will have their stay cancelled and be deported."

I think it would be smart for you to do the check up in your home country before coming here. If you do fail it for whatever reason you would be in a better situation in your home country than in Korea.
