I just received an offer from GEPIK. It seemed really nice all the standards etc;

Then they told me that I will have to live in Beomgye about 3 stops via subway to my school. Would it be worth it? Is this common for GEPIK schools to do?

Also is it common for there to be more than (1) english teacher in a public school? Is that a good or bad thing?

Any help would be great. Confused

3 stops means a 10 minute commute in the morning. Things could be worse. I have a 30 minute morning commute (my apartment is close to Seohyun station for my convenience so I end up with the commute - it was a trade off that I was willing to accept.)

Sometimes one teacher works at more-than-one school (especially smaller schools).
Sometimes one teacher works at one school.
Sometimes a school will have 2 or more FTs. (There are 2 FTs in my school).

If you are close to the station, it won't be a problem.
Probably means you will be living in a better location/accommodation than the school area can provide?

If you have to catch a local bus to the station, then that could add 20 minutes onto the commute on a bad day. If walking distance, then It's not a biggy.

This year, I have a 5 minute drive, 2 sets of lights. Last year it was a 20 minute drive with 4+ lights and heavy traffic.

I would describe that sort of a commute as being a good one ... I was out of subway range in Gyeonggi last year and to get to my school I could choose between a 20-30 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride with a 10 minute walk. The school was slightly out of town (in an area which is currently all farm land but within a couple of years will be surrounded by more apartments. ... It isn't always possible to be within a 5 minute walk of school ...

As someone else already said perhaps the school is thinking of you as well in thinking that the proposed accomodation location is in a better location for you ... Because you do have 2 days a week that you don't go to school and other things you want to get to ...

If you are happy with all the other things I wouldn't let the accommodation get in the way...
