I wanted to but was so shocked at the situation I couldn't. The guy was balling and my instincts were to have the police take care of the guy. I had been living in Korea for only a few months at the time and didn't know how things worked.

It was really bizarre.

Shocked

Rape is the worst crime, up there with murder. Rapists deserve nothing but contempt and hatred. They never desrve pity. They must be destroyed at every given opportunity. No pity. No remorse for destroying a rapist. You should have cracked open his skull.

Female co-worker of a friend shows up with a black eye, asked her what happened, she explains with a smile that her husband was drunk and 'accidentaly' punched her...She still went to work. The rest of the workmates just smiled and carried on...

Saving face. That's what's important here.

She didn't have the ability to "save her face" in this instance, did she.

Your instincts I believe were right, well done. Anyone who advocates kicking a man when he is crying on the floor obviously wants to live anarchy.

I don't attack a man who can't defend himself. That's wrong.

Weird that the boss wouldn't call the police, but the guy did lose his job and will likely have a lot of trouble finding another one, with a family to support he got punishment enough I think.

Yes Beck, or to flip what you say on its head: that the LAW has little to do ( or for that matter interest ) in JUSTICE.
