Hey all,
My buddies and I are heading down from May 3rd to 5th for a roadtrip to Gwangju and Mokpo.
Plans are Saturday, GwangJu....Sunday Mokpo then off to Daegu perhaps for May 5th.
My question is regarding nightlife in both cities.
Where are the nightlife areas with the most bars and motels in both cities?
Not neccasarily foreign bars, we mostly hit up Korean bars anyways but would like to know about the main nightlife area in general.
Also, how long is the drive from Gwangju to Mokpo?

gwangju the main area is downtown so just say downtown to the taxi driver, the foreigner bar there is mike and daves or the german bar which is right outside mike and daves (its hard to find just look for a foreigner downtown and ask him where, he will know. there is a big crazy korean nightclub outside gwangju bus terminal on the back right corner of the bus terminal called roma i think. it says supernight on the front in big lights. or goto the sangmu gigu area, ask the taxi drive for 'miller time' and that will get you to the sleazy bar area.
mokpo ive heard there aint much happening there nightlife wise. |

oh you said bars and motels...i would say sangmu gigu millertime has bars and absolutely loads of motels. downtown, i cant recall seeing many motels. |
