|
|
I just moved to Bundang, and I wanted to warn everyone about locking your doors. I caught a few punks breaking into my place and raiding my refrigerator. Things got messy.
Ha-ha. Actually, I'm flying back to Korea on Tuesday. I'll be in Bundang. If anyone wants to meet up or if you at least want to recommend a place that's interesting in that city, PM me. |

| That was great! My GF and I have been in Bundang / Ori for about 8 weeks now and love it. Getting to Seoul is a bit of a pain but at least we haven't been burglered (is that a word?) by renegade eggs yet. |

There were a series of burglaries involving foreigner apartments in Jeonja/Bundang about 3 years ago.
There was speculation that a locksmith may have been involved. |

Thanks, everyone -
But honestly, it didn't take up that much time. I already had eggs and a small cake, and I was bored one day. Setting up and taking the pictures took a whole 30 minutes. I'm sure some of you waste that time (and then some) dry heaving on a Sunday morning. |

| I like the tough egg on the right, who isn't smiling in the first picture. It's like he's chosen this rough life of dangerous cake-thieving, but even he doesn't enjoy it. |

Egg on right wants to know if you're aware of this:
"Try crushing an egg with your bare hand, applying even pressure all the way around. Not so easy, is it?
(note: do not try this with rings on your fingers.) Eggs are naturally resistant to crushing (or compression) because of their dome shape. This curved shape spreads the pressure placed on the egg around the entire shell, allowing it to support more weight. The same principle is used on bridges, arches and other weight-bearing structures."
http://www.eggs.ab.ca/kids/Tricks/pdf/all.pdf
(12 egg tricks, good for in-class use)
Actually, if you place one of the egg's narrow ends towards your finger tips and the other end towards your wrist, its (virtually?) impossible to break the egg by squeezing your hand.
Try it! |
