I'm planning to setup some speakers outside for bbq's and such. I'm just worried about the rain and whatever that might get into the speakers and damage it or even kill my stereo from surge. Any advice in weather proofing speakers other than to put in some plastic bag?

Are you planning on leaving them outside permanently?
What's your country of origin, IYDMMA?

Why not buy some outside speakers? There are some models made specifically for that.

I don't need any luxurious. Just want something suitable for few get togethers. I guess duct tape will do.
