first off, thanks to the other posters for the infpo about the extended registration deadline of 6/30.

my next question is that if my phone is still functioning when i return to korea (left korea on 3/22...coming back about 6/21) when i register it at an SK store, will they require an AR card from me (turned that in when i left) or any type of paperwork? i bought this phone 2nd hand in itaewon under my name.

I believe you might need an AR card or better still if you remember your old ARC's ID number, tell them that and they should be able to hook it up. Your ARC ID remains the same.

After I returned to Korea, I needed to change my address of my cell phone and also changed my plan, but they required my AR card for both transactions. I told them I hadn't received my new one but luckily, I remembered my ARC ID number and told them it and they accepted it.

Note, I was probably lucky in the case that 1. they were young girls at the SK store who probably are more accommodating than a croutchety ajussi or ajumma who'd probably require to see the actual ID as proof, 2. My gf was on hand to help explain the situation and they were probably more trusting given there was a reliable (Korean) witness to confirm that I wasn't just a nasty foreigner trying to rip them off somehow.

Got my new ARC this week and the number is the same.

P.S. Good to see you here, buddy. I'll see you in a couple of weeks!
