Hi!

I was wondering whether anyone currently teaches online through a private company. If so... Who do you use? How much can you earn?

Thanks.

Also, do you have to have a desktop computer?? I tried to register with one company but they said my computer wasn't acceptable.

daz,

I haven't really organized it yet and I'm starting a bigger venture but use the flash room at EFL Classroom 2.0 Why let someone else have the cut? And you aren't private teaching when doing it online either.....

The room is top of the line and although it doesn't have a whiteboard, you can send and share photos and documents. Streams well and full privacy between you and your students and it's free. This would usually cost a lot, probably an individual monthly fee of over 50 dollars. Just hit the CHAT tab at EFL Classroom.

You can log in as a guest but to share photos/docs and to view profiles you have to do a 3 sec registration.

This will be the future of teacher given the millions who need access to native speaker but don't have access nor can get an available native speaker...

I find your site extremely useful and informative for many things; however, I am looking for a company that will hire me as an online English teacher and pay me for the hours that I chat online.

Thanks anyway.

If you teach a private lesson online and are paid for it while you are in Korea (maybe paid electronically to your overseas bank) that is not a violation of your visa?

I would like to know more about this, too. A couple of hours a couple of evenings a week...
