| Better yet, can we get the economic gurus in here to tell us what the best options are? I tried looking into it, but it gave me a headache... |

I was looking at BRICs - Brazil, Russia, India, China. It's a type of fund which invests in those growing economies.
I need to do a little more research before I decide. I think I'd put about 500K a month into it, and spread the rest of my savings elsewhere. |

| Everbank is a US online bank that allows you to buy CDs and open savings accounts in foreign currencies. It seems to be a pretty decent online bank for usual checking and MM needs. Actually ETrade looks like a better online bank, but does not have the foreign currencies account. |

actually typo on my part.
meant ETF - as in Exchange Traded Fund
uup is a symbol of a dollar bullish ETF, there are several bearish ones. There are ones with weighings in various commdities, and gold, etc etc
the world can be your oyster.
Had I been aware of Brazilian ETF's 7 years ago I would have made a decent amount of money.
these are kind of like "mutual funds" that enable you to "invest" in sectors that you may want to invest in.
Since they are often not leveraged, they work more like investments, rather than a speculative position.

| There are a huge number of ETFs and they just keep forming new ones. GOLD and GLD are two gold ETFs that I know of. There's an ETF for nearly everything these days: industries, countries, precious metals. Like stock in a company, you can short an ETF, so if you think the price of gold will go down, you could short GOLD. |

Sirfink--- awesome avatar. Though these days Iron Man is trashing the dirty Ay-rab rather than the yellow man.
The biggest headache I've had is finding a website that shows decent graphs/charts of the change in value of gold, foreign currency, etc. Anyone know a good site for commodities tracking/stockticking? |
