I'll be moving soon, but wouldn't you know it? College football season is coming up shortly after I arrive. I was wondering if there is any place one can go in Daegu or a service one may subcribe to to get my "football fix"? I am especially interested in SEC conference. Any advice would be greatly sppreciated!

nothing on tv here, your best bets will be tvu player, sopcast or subscribing to espn gameplan online.

Hey, what's your team? I'm an AU fan and alum. I'm even a bigger UT fan, though, because I grew up watching them my entire life because my dad is an alum there. But I moved here in October and struggled at times to catch the games on the internet not to mention the time difference here. But TVU player really helped. You can watch ESPN, Fox and even CBS on it. No NBC, though. I'm freakin pumped about this next season. Auburn should be the darkhorse of the SEC and UT will be much better than people expect IMO even with the loss of Ainge and Cut. Only a few months until the greatest sport in the world starts the 2008 season.

I am a Florida fan and alum. However, I really do like watching the SEC as a whole. Tim Tebow should be should be awesome this year! I agree that with the loss of Ainge the Vols will have a better season this year. Where do you get one of these TVU players? Is it like a DVR or TIVO?
Priorities while in Korea:
1. Watching football
2. Well heck - everything else is secondary!

Ugh, a Gator fan. jk, yeah Tebow tore us up last year. UT couldn't stop him for anything.

Oh, you just go to TVU's website and download it. It's on online TV streamer. It just streams live TV stations. www.tvunetworks.com

Thanks for the TVU thing, I just downloaded in the desperate hope that I'd be able to watch the Lakers game that's coming on in a bit.

Curses! I can't find Espn or TNT on this thing. Still will be great for football.

I hope the BCS has learned their lesson by putting Ohio State in the title game against an SEC team. Hopefully for OSU, if they make the title game again; it won't be against an SEC team. Chances are either Florida or Georgia will win the SEC and if they play Ohio State in the BCS championship, the result will be the same as the last 2 years. Razz

Since the inception of the BCS title:
SEC- 4 titles (1 split)
Big 12- 2 titles
Pac 10- 2 titles (1 split)
ACC- 1 title
Big East- 1 title
Big Ten- 1 title

Hmmm Rolling Eyes

That one Big East title should technically be ACC's since it was Miami that won it. I see the SEC becoming weaker in the coming years.

I don't doubt SEC's dominance in college football, but I think in the next few years the ACC is going to emerge to compete with the SEC.

Miami and FSU keep getting the recruits and the talent coming in. It won't be long before both teams will be back in the top 10. VT is always consist in staying in the Top 15. Clemson had a monster recruiting year and they are so erratic. They have the talent and the program to win the ACC title year in and year out but they always drop the ball somewhere.

VT, Clemson, FSU, and Miami are all top 15 caliber teams. Boston College and Wake Forrest has been doing very well recently too.

The Big Ten is just Michian and Ohio State and 9 other teams. The Big 12 is Texas and Oklahoma and 10 other teams. The Pac-10 is USC and 9 other teams.

The Big East is just WVu and Louisville. The SEC is the best conference top to bottom, but mark my words, in within the next 5 years the ACC will be able to stand toe to toe with the SEC.

I'm from both sides of the ball. I grew up in Florida pre-ACC days. I am a legacy based upon family members that attended and got their law degrees from the U. Miami and FSU were independants at that time. I went to university at UNC-Chapel Hill to try to play basketball on the j.v. squad. I even did color commentary for the football games on the campus radio station in university. I have been involved in and watching both conferences for 20 years. I have allegiances in both conferences obviously and know that football in the south is strong and continues to be on the rise, so I'm with you on that one.
