Then you need to show her article 8.6 from the contract:
"6.피고용자의 1년간 계약이 만료되면, 1년에 대하여 한달 (30일) 분의 평균임금을 퇴직금으로 지급한다.
6. Upon completion of a one-year contract, Employer shall pay Employee an extra 30 days’ average wage as a severance pay for Employee’s continuous employment of one year."
I don't think it could be any clearer than that. If your school still refuses to pay then you should contact Dain or Wenise |

Ttompatz is right- even if there's nothing in your contract about severance pay, you're still legally entitled to it at the end of each year worked. Don't let them screw with you and |

1- It doesn't have to. It's written into the Labor Standards Act and is the law of the land.
2- The Labor office and the Pension office will vehemently disagree on that point. However, they will agree that your co-teacher is an idiot.
3- A filed complaint with the local Labor office will put that idiot in his place, and get you the money you have coming to you. |

I've noticed in GEPIK that they consider "Severance" to be some gift from the prinicpal/school. They make it sound like it's a bonus and that you get it if you don't complain while they ram you in the ass. |

Exactly. The co-teacher was operating on ignorance and refused to admit that she didn't know what she's talking about. The principal--and the staff financial director--both know what's what. |

And therein lies the major problem in face-saving cultures. |

Thanks for shining some light on the PS system. It seems as if most people believe that a PS cannot screw one over! |
