Hey guys,

I'm looking to have the above made - any ideas where to go for that? From looking online it seems like Tailor Hilton in Itaewon may fit the bill. I basically want something like the below, except I want to have a pocket for a back protector added, plus some shoulder and elboy armour. I guess the best way to go about it would be to get my hands on the armor and ask them to incorporate it into the jacket somehow - or perhaps buy the below jacket and get them to modify it?

Anyone any ideas how to go about doing this? Any experience with Tailor Hilton? They claim to specialise in motorcycle gear, and supply police HQ with jackets etc...but from what I've seen of Itaewon tailors it looks like it's all farmed out to a factory nearby after the measurements are taken. Perhaps with leather it's different?

Anyway, grateful for any input/ideas.

I don't know about custom-made ones in Korea, but my roommate a couple of years ago had this one and it was high-quality with good padding and ventilation:

Just not exactly what I'm looking for. I have a couple of decent jackets, was just looking to pick something custom up before I leave. Though I'll probably be heading to Thailand after, so perhaps it might be best to wait.

If you have time, check out the stores in Songtan. They do custom made jackets as well. They might also be cheaper than in seoul. Pm me if you need info on how to get there. I will try to send you a phone number of a store there to save you a trip. Maybe you can email a picture of what you want and they can give you a quote.

I'm looking to get one custom made because of the fit mainly, and I really like the classic look http://www.bikersden.com/public/ProductImages/1159/Image1.jpg

But it's damned hard to find these jackets with decent armor in them, or even with the possibility to put decent armor into them.

I currently wear a Honda mesh jacket over Dainese armor (you know the one that's basically just armor held together with some stretch mesh - bought it at Maxler actually), but I'd really like the look of the above with some more impact protection. So I was hoping to get them to add a back pocket for a Forcefield back protecter, and pockets in the arm and shoulder for armor there too.

I find it very hard to find a jacket thats a good fit where the armor doesn't shift around too much. The Forcefield seems to be the best currently on the market (some of the Joe Rocket gear has Forcefield back protectors).
As long as the leather is of a good thickness and the stitching is decent, especially in the impact areas, I'd be fairly happy with just continuing to wear the Dainese armor underneath - though it ain't the most comfortable combo.

Anyway, I'll ponder this some more

As to whether it would work with my current 125CC Hyosung...well...open to debate I guess

Temporary - that's what I'm currently doing. I'd prefer to just have it all in one jacket.
