Do you know where Insa-Dong is? If you don't, go out Exit 10 from the station Jongno-Sam ga. Walk straight about 10 minutes until you come to an intersection where there is a MacDonalds and a KFC. Turn right and the road will split into a V. If you veer left you are in the main shopping area of InsaDong. If you veer right, you should find a few guitar shops. Personally, I find Cort guitars have a great sound. Good luck!

You have a problem with Gibson, Gretsch, Fender, Larivee, Taylor, and Martin guitars...?

Nakwon area... Larivee?
Please tell.

Store name?
Directions?

Best store in the Seoul area? In terms of selection and price?

Thanks in advance.

In Nagwon Sanga proper. As you're walking towards the building alongside Tapgol Park (come out of Jongno 3-Ga Stn., exit 1, walk straight until you get to the park, DO NOT cross the street, turn right), go up the first staircase on the right side of the building (you know the big white one that has the road running under it?) First shop on your left.

As far as I know, it's the only shop in the arcade that sells Larivees.

(edit)

Don't forget to make it up to the third floor, either.

Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out.

I've been looking for a quality acoustic now that I know I will be here for a while. Would prefer a Larivee, Martin, or LL series Yamaha.

Any other stores I should be visiting?

Thanks again.

They tend to fall squarely in the overpriced range. Unless you buy one made in Korea, expect to pay a decent amount more than you would "back home."

If there was ever a topic which needs to be made a sticky, it's this - INSTRUMENTS AND GUITARS IN SEOUL. This comes up so often.
