I love computer games. I haven't really played that many though.
In no particular order:
Morrowind, Oblivion, Betrayal at Krondor, Hellgate: London, Jill of the Jungle, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Geneforge series, Xargon, Might and Magic: Clouds of Xeen, Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, Lemmings, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, Icewind Dale....
I think I need to buy a new computer, or maybe a console. I've never owned a console before, I don't know if I'd like it. I've played other people's and wasn't thrilled. |

Back home I played Morrowind on both my PC & Xbox - very different. Personally I'd much rather play it on the Xbox except that on the PC you can expand your games through downloading mods. The controls are much more confortable to use on a console (in my opinion) & you can lay back in a comfy lounge chair and go into total 'game mode'. |

| Bring on the Street Fighter. I was only ever really good with the Alpha series though. I recently burned Third Strike for PS2 and I get my ass handed to me by the computer on lower difficulty settings. |

Navigating large inventories and such is much easier on a PC, especially since you can run a nice high resolution. I'd rather play morrowind on PC since it makes the tedious parts less tedious.
Re: fighting games, I have Tekken 3 on my computer. Always a classic in my book. First 3D fighter that had appealing graphics, actually different characters, and a nice deep move system. |

I haven't played games for a while but have fond memories of them.
Amiga 600: Champ Manager II, Sensible Soccer, Monkey Island, IK+,
Megadrive: Speedball II (I won the league a couple of times, lost the skin on my thumb in the process), Streets of Rage II, Road Rash, TOE JAM AND EARL (Long time playing that, took ages)
Super Nintendo: Mario Cart
N64: Goldeneye, and the game I spent the latter part of christmas finishing 'Legend of Zelda' What a game! Also Mario Party (excellent 4 player fun)
Playstation: Bishi Bashi Special, Abe's Odessey and Exodus.
The last game I completed was 'The Warriors' on the PS with my brother. I've never hit some many people and gone to bed dreaming about pummeling and punching before. Kinda smacked of when I used to play Road Rash so much that my dreams involved winding roads and Nitros.
Can't be arsed with the new fangled games, just seem too complicated and an old prik like me. I can just about manage one season of Champ Manager now before I get fired for no reason, they're just so sensitive now. |

I've rid myself of all my systems so now I'm down to the computer for gaming, which is fine by me. I prefer strategy games, and the ports for consoles never do them justice anyway.
The Total War Series: The newest is Medieval Total War II. Its good. They're all kind of like Risk with an economic element where you can general the battles yourself.
Civilization: Does anyone not love this game?
Master of Orion: Kind of like Civ in space, but not.
Pirates: I never seem to get bored with this game. Sid Meier rules. |

This whole thread seems to be a struggle between those of the "middle ages" and those of the "vanguard"..... Old vs New, function vs form......
I went for the old style (for personal reasons ) when putting an arcade on the community I created. Donkey Kong, Tennis, Mini Putt, Target (cool arrow game) etc........ Nice place for teachers to relax and unwind. Very necessary this day and age....
Tried to make this public, not sure if you need a sign up to view. Feeback on the selection appreciated. http://eflclassroom.ning.com/arcade
I just can't manage all the newer games....I guess I'm brain dead. Or trigger unhappy or not ready for other worldness....

What large inventory? I like to travel light. And what tedious parts? I'm still into this game - it is without tedium for me. |
