I'm thinking of buying a prepay mobile phone from a friend. What i would like to know is what do i have to do to get the phone in my name? Is it as simple as going to a phone shop and asking them to switch the phone to my name?
Thanks. |

Side question:
Anyone with a prepay phone get a sudden huge increase in cost maybe a month ago or so? Mine went from something like 100 minutes on a 10k card down to 27 minutes. Not appreciated. |

Don't know...me and my wife have monthly service. Prepaid sounds like quite the hassle. |

There's no reason to change the registration name, just keep using it as is. It's not as if the phone can sense a change in ownership and will stop working.
I've only been asked for my name when I've added credit to my phone, I just give the name of the previous owner. |
